Botswana                                                      Tell A Friend

Botswana has three distinct types of terrain:  The Okavango Delta, The Kalahari Desert, and the bushveldt of Ngamiland.  Botswana is THE destination for serious Elephant hunters seek tusks above 60 pounds, with the possibility of perhaps getting close to triple digits.  There are 30 species of trophy animals available in the various regions.

Daily rates range from $750 to $1,000 per day, depending on the region.  There are “minimum” days mandated for the dangerous game species, up to 21 days.  Botswana requires both an individual hunting license per specie, and a separate trophy fee.  These license and trophy fees are currently being revised – please contact me for further information.

Lion, Sable and Sitatunga are currently closed to hunting.

Zimbabwe                                                       Tell A Friend

The fantastic hunting in this classical destination is on-going, however the political turmoil has made some clients question the safety of going to Zimbabwe the past couple of years.  That notwithstanding, we have had many clients go on highly successful, and safe, Safaris during this period.  Inasmuch as clients are picked up at the airport, and driven/flown directly to the hunting areas, there have been zero problems.  And, of course, hunting areas controlled by outfitters/professional are arguably some of the safest places in Africa, for some obvious reasons.

Big Four and plains game Safaris are available on 7, 10 15, and 21 day hunts, depending on the species to be hunted.  Daily rates range from $800 to $1,250 per day depending on the species to be hunted.  This is an excellent destination for all of the Big Four.  Trophy fees are very reasonable.

Zambia                                                            Tell A Friend

For the second year in a row, Zambia has closed all hunting.  It is considered possible that hunting could re-open at any time during 2002, however nothing is a fact at this time.

Tanzania                                                        Tell A Friend

Tanzania means True East African Hunting, as has been described in more stories and books than any other hunting destination.  From the famous Selous Game Preserve, the world’s largest,  to Masailand and the West areas, to the Serengeti, there are unsurpassed hunting possibilities in beautiful, open wildernesses, for over 50 different species of trophy animals.

Tanzania has some of the highest daily rates in Africa, due to high government fees and charges, plus the fact the all supplies and equipment have to be flown into the various camps.  The good news is that the trophy fees are relatively low compared to other countries.  Thirty five of the fifty species have trophy fees under $1,000, and thirty of those thirty five are $500 or less.

The government mandates the minimum days required for each specie to be hunted, ranging from 7 to 21 days, and is some combinations of species, up to 28 days.

With the exception of certain 7 or 10 day Cape Buffalo/ plains game Special Package Hunts, all of our Safaris are custom tailored to the clients objectives.  Prices range from $10,750 for a Buffalo hunt, to over $50,000 for a 28 day full bag Safaris in Masailand and the Serengeti.  Examples of typical Selous hunt costs are 21 days Lion/Leopard/plains game = $36,800 or a Big Four Safari for $42,600.  These prices EXCLUDE  trophy fees and air charters, but DO include are government fees and licenses, excepting a 10% anti-poaching and community development surcharge on all trophy fees.

Full “Terms of Business” and trophy fees available upon request.

NOTE:  Due to Zambia and Botswana being closed to Lion hunting, Lion permits in Tanzania are in short supply

Nyala, Lion, and certain other government mandated species require a minimum of 21 days.  Because of the strict quota system, not all species are available to all hunters, at any given time.

Trophy fees are relatively inexpensive in Ethiopia with the exception of Mt. Nyala ($5,000), with 30 species being under $500, and 23 of those being under $200.
